Dried rose hips are often simmered in water to make herbal teas (by themselves or as part of a blend) or rose hip syrup.
Seeding Dried Rose Hips:
To actually consume rose hips (rather than infuse them), you’ll need to remove the seeds and fine hairs that are inside them.
Pulse dried rose hips in a food processor until they’re ground into flakes and the seeds & hairs are extracted. Sift them to remove the seeds and hairs while reserving the flakes of fruit.
The fruit can then be cooked with other ingredients to make rose hip jams & other recipes.
