    Product Info

This kit contains all the base ingredients to make a delicious paella:

Paella Base (Valencian, Seafood, or Squid Ink)
    Bomba Rice
    Sweet Pimenton (Spanish Smoked Paprika)
    Organic Piquillo Peppers

The paella base is essentially a delicious broth made by cooking fresh meats and/or seafood & vegetables together with stock, herbs & spices.  It contains all the base flavors and liquid you need to make a batch of paella.

Bomba rice is the premier paella rice, prized for its ability to absorb broth and reach the proper consistency.  Pimenton is used to season paella, while piquillo peppers, a roasted sweet pepper variety, add additional color and flavor.

You can make paella from these ingredients alone, or add your own fresh meats, peas, and/or seafood during the cooking process.

    Ingredients:
    Valencian Paella Base:
Water, chicken, rabbit, duck, tomato, virgin olive oil, ferraura beans, garrofon beans, snails, onion, carrot, cabbage, leek, celery, sea salt, saffron, and rosemary.

Shake the paella base well before use.

    Basic Paella

    1. Bring 1 box of Paella Base to a boil in a shallow, wide pan (ideally a paella dish) along with sweet pimento to taste.
    2. Add 250g (about 9 ounces) of the paella rice and simmer on high heat for ten minutes.
    3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for another ten minutes, adding piquillo peppers (if desired) near the end of the cooking process.  Remove the pan from the heat and let it rest for five minutes before serving.

Optional: You can add meats, poultry, peas, and/or seafood to the pan (raw, cooked, or par-cooked, depending on the ingredient) as desired at a point that will cook them through without overcooking the rice.
